Duration
- 16 hour programme over 8 weeks
- 2 hours of online, faculty led sessions every week
- Daily practise time: 15 – 30 minutes
What do we offer in this course?
A research based course developed by Seph Fontane Pennock and Hugo Alberts of Positive Psychology, based in the Netherlands. This Course focuses on the workings of the mind and the practice and the psychology behind mindfulness, to create a more balanced life. After completing this training, participants would have learned to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives.
Participants will be provided with complete notes, a workbook / journal and links to videos and reading material
Course delivery
Course will include online, face to face sessions every week, a reflective report and daily practice.
Course outcomes
- Learn to pay attention to the present moment and to your thoughts
- Become aware of your own automatic thought patterns, habits and behaviour
- Become aware of your judgemental nature as the first step to becoming receptive.
- Understand the goal and essence of acceptance
- Find a balance between being present and focussing on the future.
- Become aware of the inner critic and develop self compassion.
- Experience the difference between the self as a story and as an observer
- Learn the connection between these different mental processes.
